The Lodge is a great all-purpose tarp. With a 12’ ridgeline and over 9’ of width for the standard model or 11’ of width for the XL it provides excellent coverage for a hammock in all conditions. It’s also a great shelter for 2-3 people who want to go with a tarp shelter on the ground. 

The base version comes with 4 corner tieouts, ridgeline tieouts, and tieouts 3’ in from the corner on the long sides to allow the ends of the tarp to be closed like doors in foul weather.

The premium version adds 6 tieout points so that all 4 sides have tieouts in the centers and halfway between center and corner. If you’re sleeping on the ground this will provide you with more pitching options.

Made from 1.1oz Silpoly or Silpoly XL, these tarps have very low stretch and high UV and abrasion resistance. All tieout points are reinforced with the same Hex70 ripstop used in our food bags and those reinforcements are aligned to the bias stretch of the tarp fabric. All tieouts are sewn on with the tarp sandwiched between the webbing. I feel this provides a much more robust tieout than simply sewing the webbing to the reinforcement patch on the inside of the tarp.

LineLoc 3’s are available. When added they are sewn onto the D-Ring of each tieout point with a webbing loop. This allows use of trekking poles while still allowing easy use of the line tensioners. In the rare event the LineLoc should break or fail, there’s still a D-Ring to fall back on.

Once you have selected your options and added your tarp to your cart, you’ll have the option to select your tarp color, reinforcement color and thread color.
